SADAREM Camp for Physically challenged

RISDT is supporting the initiative by mobilizing 1,500 PAL with deformities in the district who will benefit through a monthly pension of Rs. 500. Around 1,450 PAL have been registered through the SADAREM Camp.

The Quality Circle (QC) meeting of FAIRMED partners was held on 12 March 2013 at Emmaus Leprosy Hospital, Palamner in Chittoor district. The meeting presented an opportunity for FAIRMED and the partners to review the program and plan for the coming quarters.

Mr. John Kurian George, CEO, FAIRMED India stressed on strong program and finance compliance, which is the key to future funding.

The Becker family—Kathy Becker along with her husband Dettmer Fishbeck and son Felix visited RISDT at Kathipudi. They interacted with students at Referral English Medium High School (REMHS), met the patients at the Leprosy Ward, TB Treatment Unit, and HIV Care Centre). The next day, they participated in POID program at Kandrakota Primary Health Centre and distributed self-care kits and micro cellular rubber (MCR) footwear to Persons affected by Leprosy (PAL).

RISDT has strengthened the HIV services in East Godavari district with the start of the Emmaus Care Centre (ECC) on the Kathipudi campus.
